High availability (HA) is dead. Long live Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA).

Just came across an interesting technical whitepaper on TechNet describing the various Oracle technologies that are available for deploying highly available Siebel architectures.

The paper describes RAC, Data Guard as well as clustering, load balancing, distributed services, disaster recovery and Transparent Application Failover (TAF) which is supported by Siebel.
